Blog Action Day 2010: WATER (Deep Within Flesh)

Posted on October 14, 2010

As promise, today is Blog Action Day 2010. The theme for this year is WATER. A simple word yet conclude all life on Earth. A simple word that entangled every living creatures on EARTH in everyday life activity. However, how many of us knows that 90% of the 42,000 deaths that occur every week caused by unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions are to children under five years old? How many of us care about 70 percent of industrial wastes are dumped untreated into waters where they pollute the usable water supply in developing countries. Do we REALLY CARE? Are WE GRATEFUL for the blessing of having water in our everyday life?
WATER (Deep Within Flesh)

This is why we need water!

As one of human being who depends on water, I wish to share with you point of view. I believe many people will discuss about WATER and the environment, pollution, WATER crisis in another part of the world. I wish to bring all my friends who read this post to start being grateful for what we have…before we lose the CLEAN WATER. Let start with our self…yes, YOU…ME…ALL of US 🙂

In the Quran, Allah S.W.T had told us the origin of life is water…

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? [Al Anbiya:30]
That’s why my title for this year is WATER: Deep Within Flesh. As everybody knows for sure that our body consist of WATER. Every cells in our body consist of WATER, Our blood full of WATER. That is why we need WATER. That is why WATER is life. People will die without water faster than without food. What happened if we consume WATER which full of chemical and toxic (as in the video ‘soup of chemical’? The effect is on to our self! What we eat and drink will become our flesh and blood…

I am grateful to live in Malaysia, we almost never faced with water problem. Rain pour every now and then…Rivers that flow from the mountain and fish live happily in the lake and ocean and delicious fruits tree blossom everywhere. However,  nowadays, some of ‘greedy Malaysian’ never ponder of this except for their own ‘golden pillow and bed’ that they risk our blessed country with WATER POLLUTION by foresting, uncontrolled farming, waste dumping and many more. If this continue, we will become a rich country but poor water (no clean water). We had to invest more for cleaning the water we had polluted earlier…What a waste…We can prevent but we choose to pretend. We are killing ourselves by polluting the water we use everyday. So my friends, Let STOP ourselves, neighbors, children and friends from ‘selling’ our clean water from buying ‘gold’ and ‘easy life’ as we will suffer if we take it for granted. We can start by recycling our waste!

Is this what we hope for?

Or This for our next generation?
